The scientific divulgation and promotion of knowledge are essential parts of all advanced society. Under these premises, rises the exhibition ‘Essential minerals for a sustainable future’, an initiative promoted by Geoalcali in collaboration with the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain, the Planetarium of Pamplona and Magnesitas Navarra, which intend to contribute to the spreading of a subject that is often little studied, but which is of vital importance for the planet’s sustainability.
The exhibition involves a travel to the bowels of the earth and history of mankind, in which the use of minerals has been tied to the human being evolution. Concretely, it allows getting to know the typology of non-energetic industrial minerals, its location in Europe, with a particular section about Navarra, and their uses in our daily life.
Hence, ‘Essential minerals for a sustainable future’ sets up as an educational tool of special interest for school centers, families and society in general.
The exhibition will be available from November 20th until December 11th during the normal timetable of the Planetarium of Pamplona.
