Charla sobre profesiones

During the last few days, Geoalcali professionals have dedicated part of their time to disseminating, among Navarra students, the role of mining in today’s society and the need to train professionals, from an equality perspective, with an eye on STEM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

Under the motto “Know the professions”, female members of the Geoalcali staff traveled to the Luis Amigó School in Pamplona to attend to the boys and girls of this school, with the purpose of building awareness of the role of women in mining and the importance of diversity by breaking gender “labels” in professions.

These type of activities are framed within the educational program of mining for schoolchildren designed by the General Directorate of Industry, Energy and Innovation in collaboration with the sector associations in Navarra and the company Geoalcali along with other companies in the sector.

The objective is to give the Primary, Secondary, Vocational Training and Baccalaureate students of Navarra the opportunity to get to know the world of minerals and mining in situ and to promote interest in the STEM professions.
