Entitled ‘Woman, mining and industry’, last 7th of November, took place in the International Institute of San Telmo (Sevilla), a meeting that analyzed the reality of the woman in industry and the mining sector in aspects such as equal opportunities, professional promotion, professional profiles in the industry, settlement and the challenge of diversity in the sector.
The initiative, driven by the Embassy of Canada in Spain, with the collaboration of Junta de Andalucía, reunited speakers of international relevance who leaded or participated in particular presentations and round tables.
One of them, entitled ‘Settlement and its impact in the promotion of professional careers in mining’, counted with the presence of Susana Bieberach, Responsible of Communication and Marketing in Geoalcali.
Beside her, Marie-Christine Frenette, Vice President and General Counsel – Africa; Kinross Gold Corporation, Lola Pereira, Dra. In Geology in the University of Salamanca and vice president of the Women Association of Investigators & Technologists, and Guadalupe Collar, Head of Geology of Oro Valle.
The round table was formed by Brita Hektoen, Director Cátedra de la Mujer in San Telmo Institute.
